Wellness Programs follow the scientifically researched, peer-reviewed HealthRHYTHMS protocol. Evidence-based and shown to reduce stress by 40-60%, programs can be implemented for a variety of support groups working with at-risk youth, active elderly, developmental disabilities, addiction recovery, injury rehabilitation, long-term care workers, and practically any organization or community. Group drumming establishes a safe space for empathy, camaraderie, and creative dialogue.
Participants learn methods for conflict management, problem solving, and stress reduction, while practicing ways to develop social skills, build community, establish trust, effectively communicate, identify and release emotions, work through frustration and physical tension, improve cognitive functioning, increase immune system response, and enhance overall sense of well-being.
No previous musical knowledge or experience is necessary.
All development levels and age groups are encouraged to participate.
Instruments can be provided. Ideal group size is 8-15 participants. Larger groups can be accomodated. Sessions are typically 60-90 minutes. Ongoing sessions are recommended for at least 6 weeks.
